How many times per day do good Muslims pray? What is your favorite prayer to recite?
2. Spend of what Allah (God) has given him in the cause of Truth (Islam).
Who can you help with your charity today? What can you give (money or services)?
3. Speak the truth regardless of circumstances.
Have you been truthful today? Are there any truths you need to tell? Are there any falsehoods (lies) you need to correct? It can be difficult, but we must always be truthful.
4. Keep himself (or herself) clean, internally and externally, at all times.
How often must we bathe? How often must we wash ourselves for prayer? What other times do we wash ourselves? How do we clean ourselves internally?
5. Love his brother (or sister) believer as himself (or herself).
Muslims want for our brothers and sisters what we want for ourselves. Muslims love to make each other happy. Muslims must help each other in times of need.
6. Be kind and do good to all.
What kind things have you done today? Is there anyone you have not been kind to? In what ways can you be kinder?
7. Kill no one whom Allah has not ordered to be killed.
If we do not like someone, we leave them alone in peace. We allow no one to commit a nuisance on or near our post. We are never the aggressor. We have the right to defend ourselves and our property.
8. Set at liberty the captured believer.
Muslims value freedom, justice, and equality. Muslims are not oppressors. Muslims must fight for liberty.
9. Worship no God but Allah.
There is no person or thing worthy of worship but Allah (God). We strive to make everything we do an act of worship. Every action we take can be a form of worship if we have the right intention. A Muslim must always strive to please Allah (God).
10. Fear no one but Allah.
We fear the displeasure of Allah (God). We do not take on mixed instructions. We submit to Allah (and those in authority over us as long as it does not conflict with our religion). Islam takes away fear.
The above are the teachings of the Prophets.
All praise is due to Allah (God), Who Came in the Person of Master Fard Muhammad for raising a Messenger to teach us how to be good Muslims. Let us strive to make him proud!
